Just arrived home after our wedding here at Branxholm Park. The venue was absolutely perfect, everything had been thought of. Everywhere you looked you’d find a stunning little area that made the place feel so whimsical. David & Debs are fantastic hosts, nothing was a problem and they were at hand not only on the lead up to the wedding but also throughout our stay to make sure everything went to plan. The wedding package is great and made everything feel so stress free. The staff were brilliant, so helpful and just fit into the day to make sure everything ticked along nicely. Hats off to the chef, the food was out of this world!!

We can’t recommend this place enough, a magical wedding venue!

We got married here on 25th July this year & had an amazing day! Our overall experience of Branxholm Park House was very positive. We had a few niggly concerns upon arrival, however, after a quick chat with David we felt he thoroughly listened and took all on board. He made sure everything ran smoothly, he was very present & we all felt very welcome during the entire stay. The staff within the house were very friendly and so hardworking, special thanks to Jess who went above and beyond with all she did!
Our guests are still commenting on what a lovely and unusual venue Branxholm is! We have no regrets about our special day.

We got married at Branxholm Park last week. The venue is beautiful; a quirky, well-curated collection of in- and outdoor spaces, with loads to do. The animals are gorgeous - the goats and horses are so friendly, and there's a sweet 3-legged cat who was the real star of our day!

We booked the venue unseen, just based on the website and video tours, and David & Debbie assured us that lots of people book without visiting. The house and grounds really did exceed expectations - we gasped as we drove up the road and saw it for the first time.
We were lucky to have gorgeous sunny weather and the most amazing group of guests and vendors, so despite anxieties and small oversights, it really was a perfect wedding.

The staff at the house were fantastic, making us feel so incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived. Nothing was too much trouble - Becky and Tracey especially were fabulous friendly faces and above-and-beyond helpful.

Unfortunately, the planning process caused some anxiety; all the planning is done through emails with Debbie (the owner) who was a little difficult to talk to - slow or non-existent replies, confusing typos, lack of detail, and not providing things like a seating plan despite being asked repeatedly. As an anxious couple we could have done with better communication and some more support with finalising details of our day.

After our arrival, everything was very fun and relaxed, and the 2-night package allowed us to settle in and explore without feeling rushed. We made use of the hot tub and karaoke room the first night, slept well in the huge comfortable beds, and had a relaxed morning getting ready in the house. The house-party vibe was perfect for a relaxed holiday experience.

The meal the night before the wedding was lovely; hearty burgers with chips and an incredible range of cakes. The vegan cakes were among the best we've ever tasted - the blueberry and the jaffa cake were standouts! Our wedding cake was a vegan lemon and blueberry one, which tasted absolutely amazing but was a little disappointing visually, and the promised "cake sword" also did not appear.

Breakfast and brunch were excellent, no shortage of rolls, croissants, and other snacks. The canapes were also lovely - a great selection including some fab Asian-fusion style bites which are the chef's speciality.
The meal on the wedding day was a little disappointing, especially the risotto, but we did take a chance by going off-menu, which was very kind of the team to accommodate. A guest particularly remarked on the high quality of the gluten-free bread rolls, and all allergies/dietary requirements were catered for. Guests were promised gluten-free gnocchi but were given pasta instead, which was still very tasty but just a bit of a shame.

All of the florals provided as part of the venue package are artificial and re-used repeatedly - not an issue for us, and better than importing and wasting real flowers, just worth noting.

Our guests stayed in the venue’s flats in Hawick, which were on the whole lovely and comfortable, though slightly frustrating that only one set of keys were provided for the whole five-bed flat.

The only other real snag was accessibility - we were told that the chapel is wheelchair accessible but it is actually up a steep gravel slope and a guest had to sit outside for the ceremony. The only downstairs loo is also not big enough for disabled access, and the house and glasshouse both have a step at the entrance. We understand that it's an old house and as such wouldn't have been built with accessibility in mind, but just be aware!

It's a shame that there were these frustrations, as Branxholm Park truly has the potential to be the greatest 5-star wedding venue.

Overall, if you love animals and are looking for a whimsical wedding getaway with endless entertainment and photo ops, Branxholm Park is the place for you! The package deal they offer is ideally suited to laid-back, go-with-the-flow couples who don't need fine control of every aspect of their day and are relaxed about the planning process and timeline.

We had our wedding at Branxholm Park House in March this year. It was everything we had hoped and dreamed of, it’s a truly magical venue and absolutely everything went perfectly. David, Deb and their team are the incredible hosts and take a very kind and caring approach. Nothing was too much trouble which made our wedding day the dream we had hoped for. There are so many little touches which added together make the place so unique and stand out from other venues. I would highly recommend the venue to anyone looking for a great family, party wedding with some extra special touches.

Lovely! (Wedding event) Everyone is very nice, good organization, delicious food and spacious and fun rooms (karaoke and games room). I recommend! They even have animals !!

We had the most beautiful and amazing wedding in August courtesy of David, Debs, their family and all the wonderful team. They were perfect hosts and worked tirelessly to ensure our guests and ourselves had the best and most memorable wedding.

We’ve had feedback from all our guests and they all thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The welcome night really allowed us to enjoy some time with our nearest and dearest before the big day and got everyone in the party spirit!

We were fed gorgeous food and cake all throughout our stay. Debs did an amazing job with our cake; it was exactly what we had envisaged and tasted fantastic.

The location is perfect and being able to have our Labrador at the event was the icing on the cake, as she wandered around getting fussed all day. The weather was changeable during our wedding, but this had little impact due to the proximity of all the amenities onsite.

We cannot recommend this venue enough if your vision of an ideal wedding is being with your closest family and friends, in a perfect place, whilst being hosted by the most friendly and caring venue staff. We can't thank everyone enough; from Jacky and Tracy's welcome smiles on our arrival, Sean keeping our guests well fed and watered throughout, Dani helping navigate the bride and wedding dress down the beautiful staircase and, of course, Lewis giving us both a wonderful introduction for our first dance. David and Debs, thank you for making our special day PERFECT! We would do it all again with you in a heartbeat!

We got married at Branxholm Park House on 7th November. Our day was perfect! Tracey, Becky and the rest of the staff were so helpful and made the day go seamlessly. Food was amazing and the wedding cake was just what we wanted and was delicious. We cannot recommend this venue enough, our guests loved it and it was the perfect way to start our marriage.

We had an amazing wedding last weekend, March 16th. Every detail was considered and layed out for us and our guests. Many of whom have told us that our wedding at Branxholm Park House was the best wedding they’d ever been to!
The relaxed, yet luxurious weekend was perfect from beginning to end - guests enjoyed all of the facilities from the shuffleboard, karaoke, pool, hot tub, and of course the dance floor! Not one dull moment! The only downside was having to leave on Sunday.
Food was perfect and plenty of it. Everybody felt very well looked after.
Highly recommended for anyone’s wedding! We hope that someone we know might invite us to a wedding here in the future so that we might relive Branxholm Park House from a guests perspective!
