I first contacted Jess when my puppy was 11 weeks old and was displaying behaviour I didn’t deem normal for a puppy so young. I had a consultation and Jess advised me of the best approach for a puppy of that age. To say my relationship with my dog has changed since getting Jess’ advice would be an understatement. I can categorically say that without that advice my dog would be in a completely different place to the one she is now. Jess’ knowledge is unrivalled and the results she gets with even the most troubled dogs speak for themselves. Would recommend to anyone who wants a TRUE professional who thoroughly understands dogs to help change their dogs life.

Myself and my dog experienced a week long residential in Dundee with Jess and her incredible team.
We learnt so much more than “dog training”, we learnt how our dog-owner relationship should be and how to become better and happier versions of ourselves.
It was a life changing week, and one I will treasure forever! It was a hard week as hard work must be put in if want to make positive changes for you and your dog but SO rewarding! Since returning home 2 weeks ago our lives are completely different for the better in every way. I have never seen my dog so happy and I haven’t enjoyed her this much in years. Incredible women and I’m forever grateful for her time and energy!

I recently drove over 8 hours to see Jess and the trainers she works with to help my 2yo terrier who couldn't be trusted off leash, or unmuzzled in the house after a few incidents. I knew I could take him to a trainer close by and they would likely be able to up our obedience so that we could manage daily life but I knew my dog had more potential than that, he wasn't just disobedient, there was something else going on and I wanted him to be able to enjoy being a dog, and do so safely. I saw that Jess and her team could help us with this.
Whilst other techniques and trainers may have ways that work for some dogs, I don't think there are many other trainers out there that look at the dog as a whole - relationship with handler, diet, are their needs being met, breed, their personality and more before they chock issues up to disobedience
I was there alongside 4 other dogs, with different reasons for being there and each had a different plan and training style tailored to them, there was no one size fits all. She looked at our dogs as individuals and trained each of us how to help them as such.
None of the progress we made could have been attempted without a muzzle, for both my dogs safety and the safety of those helping him. As responsible dog owners, we all muzzled our dogs naturally for this training, not once did anyone other than the owners put a muzzle on their own dogs.
For anyone to believe they can comment on Jess and her team, without ever meeting them and observing the full training is ludicrous

Astonished and sad to see the two previous 1 star reviews.
Having seen numerous trainers and at the absolute end of our tether, 3 weeks ago my fiancé and I took our extremely reactive 2yo herder to Jess.
Within days Jess had transformed our’s and our dog’s life with her remarkable expertise, benign passion, superlunary intuition, care and LOVE.
Witnessing this woman’s abilities is something to behold. She speaks fluent dog and plainly cares very deeply for those she helps.

Within the first 4 days our wee pups went from wanting to rip to shreds every dog she ever even sensed, to jumping around learning to play with them and sitting politely at the back of the pack waiting her turn for a treat.

Considering we spent an entire week staying in a house with Jess (and 9 other awe-struck owners), do you feel at some point we would have noticed if she had a penchant for cruelty Or perhaps this can only be viewed from afar; through bifocals steamed with misplaced effort, twitching the bushes with Lorraine.

Slander and nonsense.

We’ve a fair distance to travel yet, but with the knowledge and consistency that Jess has patiently instilled in us our dog will have an immeasurably happier and more fulfilling life than if we hadn’t crossed paths with Dundee Dog Training.

An incredible interpreter of dogs who has given me my life back after working with me. It’s not possible to put in to words the positive impact learning from Jess and her team has truly had on me, but suffice to say if you’re looking for a dog trainer who will understand your dog and help you to communicate with them effectively, while working with positive methods, she is it.

Jess absolutely changed my life. I have a 2 year old Hungarian Vizsla who whined A LOT! He also hadn't been very well socialised due to Covid (very much our fault). I did one of Jess' residentials and it was the best decision I've ever made. She taught me so much about my own dog and my handling skills. I now have a great relationship with my dog and it's all thanks to Jess' advice!!

Months ago I decided to take on a 1-year old Belgian Malinois rescue to become a member of the family (ambitious, typical young lad). At first, due to fears of living in a new home, and much socialisation to make up for (COVID), the poor pup was terrified and terrified of everything new. Given his breed, it went without question that I would need helpful guidance to achieve a good outcome for him.

Through patient and consistent work with Jess over the past few months, my dog has now become well socialised, rounded and confident, capable of venturing into shops, cafes and up Munro tops. From the group walks run by Jess, from which he has now become very well socialised for a rescue Mal, he has now become a perfect canine companion for me and my family, even helping me get friends and family over apprehension of large dogs.

I cannot recommend Jess and her team any further, they constantly work for the best outcome for the dog. Come with an open mind and an ability to listen to years of experience and you too will reap the benefits of having a well-rounded dog.
